NSCA Fall Business Conference 2007 - A Success!

NSCA’s 10th annual Fall Business Conference attracted the most participants in its history. More than 180 people registered for the two-and-a-half-day event held at Paradise Point Resort in San Diego, California. The conference’s leadership, management and networking programs continue to shape the future of the commercial electronic systems industry.

The next NSCA Business Conference, sponsored by InfoComm, is planned for early spring of 2009. Stay tuned for more details about this exciting event.

Financial support for industry professionals was available thanks to generous support through the NSCA Education Foundation. Additionally, several manufacturers donated prizes to the Foundation’s third annual Silent Auction at FBC, which raised more than $11,000 for future funding of educational opportunities.

Thank you to Atlas Sound, Bose Corporation, FSR, Grass Valley, Innovative Electronic Designs Inc, Lutron, Music Supply Company Inc, QSC Audio Products Inc, Rauland-Borg Corporation and Shure, Incorporated for their prize donations in support of the Foundation’s initiatives.

NSCA extends deep condolences to the family and friends of FBC speaker Bill Brooks who passed away on October 27, 2007. To learn more about this wonderful man, please click here.

Attendee Testimonials

First-time attendees and new industry business owners Todd Margolis and Evan Antonini of Daymar Communications learned how to become successful in the industry, overstep pitfalls, plan for the future of their business, implement their vision and learn from industry leaders.
“NSCA’s Fall Business Conference brought an additional level of professionalism to the business. This conference gives executives like myself (a chance) to meet with industry peers, while participating at a level of education that is not available anywhere else for executives in the A/V and commercial electronic systems industry.”
Chad Gillenwater, president, SPL Integrated Solutions
"I thought you had excellent guest (keynote) speakers who all had different perspective. I liked being able to interact with other members to share stories and how to solve real life problems."
Daniel Boylan, president, Southern Business Communications
“This conference makes you get away and actually think about your business instead of just reacting to your business. Owners don’t get a lot of that time.”
John Bangs, owner AV/Com Integrators
“I believe the round tables are worth the price of the conference. This is where we can tackle the issues.”
George Turner, president SAV Stanislaus Audio Visual Inc.
"I have been back many years and the relationships bring me back. There is (a) useful exchange of business information with colleagues. We get to talk about emerging markets and technology ideas."
Wayne Becker, vice-president of sales and marketing, Communication Systems, Inc.
“No other industry event offers the depth in sales (or) financial and operational topics and solutions for today’s senior managers. (This) valuable collaboration does not only (exist) between the contractor and their customers, but amongst each other in a relaxed non-stress environment.”
Thomas Berry, president, Verrex Corporation
